Johannesburg – By now you should be familiar with the drama underway between Fifi Cooper and her former record label Ambitiouz Entertainment.
But in case it’s all gone over your head, we’re here to break it down for you. Ready?
Fifi leaves Ambitiouz Entertainment
In February Fifi spoke out about leaving Ambitiouz Entertainment, telling DRUM her decision was due to financial problems and not personal issues.
The rapper went on to claim that while she worked really hard she was not making any money under the label, adding that her relationship with CEO Kgosi Mahumapelo was non-existent.
Ambitiouz sues Fifi
Social media was abuzz on Monday when Ambitiouz Entertainment took to their official Twitter account to release a statement regarding their legal battle with Fifi.
The rapper was interdicted from performing or claiming ownership of any song recorded while under the record label. Fifi was also ordered to pay damages and royalties to Ambitiouz Entertainment, as well as the record company's legal fees.

Fifi fights back
Although the rapper has yet to make a statement surrounding the drama, political party EFF came to her defence in a Twitter post on Tuesday offering to help her fight her legal battle.
“We have seen the injustice caused on Fifi Cooper by Ambitious Entertainment which is politically associated with the corrupt North West Premier, Supra Mhumapelo. We have contacted Fifi with the willingness to help her fight back against the corrupt & exploitative record company! (sic)” the post reads.
